Hey guys, so I thought I’d break away from the makeup stuff
for a while and talk to you all like I used to. Before I started this channel,
I’d just sit down and talk and write a blog post or whatever on just random
topics, and the reason I’m not posting this on missleevlogs is because it’s
kind of serious.
I don’t mean serious like grr serious business but I mean
serious as in this isn’t to do with makeup or anything this is more to do with
feelings. I’m not going to lie and say that on youtube it’s like heaven and
everyone’s pleasant and we all run through flowery hills holding hands and
singing, because it’s not.
Both online and in real life, I’ve had positive and negative
comments about youtube. The positive comments for example are like ‘This is so
creative’ or ‘I laughed so hard at your vlog’. Although I’m pretty much certain
I’ve heard or read these at some point, it’s very hard to think of a positive
comment off the top of my head, even though the majority of my comments are.
But on the other hand, I could probably tell you exactly
when, why who etc, about the negative comments. I clearly remember the times
when people have jokily make fun of me and haven’t been too serious and I never
took offence. But the serious times I remember like they were three seconds
ago, remember what it looked like I remember who from I remember when I
remember all of the little details.
So the question is, why do we linger on the negative, why do
we distinctly remember the things we shouldn’t listen to and should forget?
I remember a few years ago I was going through a hard time
and youtube was my place away from it all. The people on youtube I listened to
were so insightful and so happy with who they were I could hardly believe they
existed. I think everybody knows that If everyone saw youtube or even the lives
we live through our eyes, they’d respect us a whole lot more, because nobody
can live our lives as well as we do.
I know as well that the people on youtube, as happy and
wonderful as they are have had negativity their whole lives just as everyone
else has. I’ve never met a youtuber who’s been a bad person, but they all admit
at some point to doing or saying something hurtful or mean. It’s human nature
to learn by doing and that’s why younger people tend to be a bit meaner or hurtful
to others because they are unaware of their own abilities.
It can be frustrating when all you want to do is force away
the negativity and focus on the positivity in your life and you can’t stop
thinking about it. Whenever I’ve had a bad comment, it’s lingered on my mind constantly
for at least a week after, and I don’t tell anyone and I usually just force it
away somewhere into the back of my mind. But every time I get another, I think
back to all the previous ones and it slowly builds up.
It’s not a cycle I want to be in and I would much prefer to
just ignore things like that, and although it’s true I have a pretty thick skin
against these things, they still hurt me.
So I think if you want to forget the negative things in your
life, you’ll have to learn to accept them first. If you accept them, and forgive
the person who said them, then you are already 99% healed because you’ve not
only forgotten, but forgiven.
I definitely forgive the people that have said these mean
comments because I know there’s always a motive behind it, something that’s made
them angry or hurt and they are just passing it on rather than forgiving and
forgetting. In a way I do feel sorry for them too as they can’t forgive and
forget whereas I can, they will always feel pain and pass it to others until
they learn that, and not everyone will be as educated in forgiveness as me and
you. One day they’ll come across someone just the same as them and realise what
they’ve been doing has hurt people, and maybe they’ll learn that way.
So through being on youtube I’ve learnt how to deal with
negativity as well as having plenty of opportunities to use my skill, I hope
you all can learn from my experiences before any comes your way or if any has
already came your way, I hope you can use my advice to overcome the negativity.
Stay beautiful guys and I’ll see you all next week!
Cool!
